The Executive MBA curriculum consists of 60 ECTS credits of postgraduate study, offered as modular fashion. MBA-candidates in the executive programme complete required modules/courses (60 ECTS credits) through an Ofqual recognised Level 7 qualification (e.g. Qualifi Level 7 qualification in Strategic Management and Leadership).
The Executive DBA curriculum consists of 140 ECTS credits of postgraduate study, offered as modular fashion. DBA-candidates in the executive programme transfer the Level 7 credits from the MBA (60 ECTS credis) and complete required modules/courses (60 ECTS credits), through an Ofqual recognised Level 8 qualification (e.g. Qualifi Level 8 qualification in Strategic Management and Leadership) including a research project as part of the curriculum.
The Doctor by Research (PhD) curriculum consists of 180 ECTS credits of postgraduate study, offered as modular fashion. PhD-candidates in the research programme transfer the Level 7 credits from the MBA (60 ECTS credis) and complete required modules/courses (60 ECTS credits), through an Ofqual recognised Level 8 qualification (e.g. Qualifi Level 8 qualification in Strategic Management and Leadership) plus a final Thesis/Dissertation (60 ECTS credits) focused on a specific field or industry of management.
The modular Doctor of Business Administration programme has as a general aim of provision of an academically rigorous education designed to develop skills, expertise, knowledge and vision to enable students, whatever their chosen route, to be critical, analytical and creative. The programme aims to provide opportunity for self-development in relation to career enhancement and as life-long learners.
The programme offers students the opportunity to develop their own capabilities, skills and competencies within a supported environment.
Duration of the Executive MBA and DBA programme:
5 semesters fulltime.
Degree requirements: 140 ECTS credits
Students need to earn 60 ECTS credits (1 study year) through an Ofqual recognised Level 7 qualification for the award of the Executive MBA.
Students need to earn 80 ECTS credits (1 study year) through an Ofqual recognised Level 8 qualification for the award of the Executive DBA.
Research Master: Candidates need to pass research courses and submit and defend (online) a thesis in the extent of 30 ECTS credits (2nd study year).
Research PhD: Candidates need to pass research courses and submit and defend (online) a thesis in the extent of 60 ECTS credits (3rd study year).
Credits transfer:
Students can apply for credit transfer from an Ofqual recognised Level 7 and Level 8 qualification applicable to the curriculum in StrategicManagement and Leadership.
Students can apply for credits transfer from any second study year of a Master programme in Business Administration, Management or related concentrations, applicable to the study plan, to the MBA curriculum. Credits can be transferred to the DBA or thesis. Thesis by scientific publications can be approved individually. However, in this case the Ofqual recognised qualification will not be awarded, if the qualification is not earned.
Study language: English (optionally German)
Our international programmes are designed for students anywhere in the world and can be passed online without any on-campus residencies. The asynchronous method of online instruction allows enrolment throughout the year and enables students to determine their own pace of studies. Courses and examinations can be taken anywhere and anytime. Final oral examinations or defence of thesis are conducted via online video conference between candidate and examination jury members.
Admission requirements:
Bachelors degree or graduate degree (4 years), Bachelors degree (3 years) plus a Masters degree (1 year minimum), Bachelors degree plus a Postgraduate qualification at level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework or Mexican Qualifications framework reflecting a minimum of 240 ECTS credits or 300 Mexican créditos. Despite no TOEFL or EFL score is required, English proficiency is required for the programme. Students need to be able of conducting independent research and scientific writing and presentation of the doctoral thesis.
Admission requirements for postgraduate programmes are a graduate degree, whereby, admission to a Master´s programme require the equivalent of a Bachelor´s degree (minimum 180 ECTS credits) or a comparable qualification (e.g. EQF level 6); admission to a Doctor´s degree programme require the equivalent of a graduate or postgraduate degree (minimum 240 ECTS credits) or a comparable qualification (e.g. EQF level 7). The university will conduct an admission evaluation for every individual student. The university reserves the right to admit students based on qualification only. Admission to an advanced research doctorate by thesis only require a postgraduate degree (minimum 300 ECTS credits) or a comparable qualification (e.g. EQF level 7 or 8), allowing for the transfer of 60 ECTS credits earned in the postgraduate qualification programme to the period of instruction for the research doctoral programme, to be completed by the research phase and the dissertation only.

The application process is conducted in the following sequences:
1) Prospective student asks for application form for a given programme of study.
2) Prospective student fills out the application form in MS Word format and remits the scan of the application form with handwritten signature by email, including the following attachments (we accept only PDF for scans, and JPG for the photo):
- Application form signed as scan (PDF, black/white)
- Scans (PDF, b/w, legible!) of all relevant higher education credentials and qualifications (degrees, diplomas, certificates, with all transcripts). If those original credentials are not in English, Spanish or German, pls, provide an English translation.
- Curriculum vitae, highlighting the academic and professional background. (doc or PDF)
- Scan of the passport (or ID card) page with personal data and photo. (PDF in colour)
- Passport style facial photo of applicant (colour, JPG)
NOTICE: Only complete applications will be considered for evaluation.
3) The University conducts an evaluation report and reserves the right to charge the applicant for this service.
4) The University issues the evaluation report and in case of possible admission issues an invoice to the student for the tuitions and fees of the given programme.
5) Student accepts evaluation report and pays the full tuition and fees in order to enrol.
6) Payment of tuitions activates the enrolment of the given student. Once a student is enrolled and discontinues a programme, no tuition payment is refunded.
